Air Brush Tanning

What to expectBenefitsThings to know
  • You should exfoliate the night before or the morning of your air brush tan. This will help get rid of old skin that is about to slough off, and provide for a longer and more even tan.
  • You should wear dark colored, loose fitting clothing the day of your tan. The tanning solution may temporarily rub off on light colored clothing.
  • Upon arrival you will be asked to undress to your desired level. Our experienced specialist will then spray you. After your spray you will spend several minutes drying before putting your clothes back on.
  • It takes the tanning solution approximately 10 hours to completely develop. After which you may shower.

To acquire a flawless, long-lasting airbrush tan requires a three step process: proper exfoliation, the tanning procedure itself, and moisturization.

A sunless tan is produced on the outer layer of the skin's epidermis and is subject to the normal skin shedding cycle. At any time, some of this exposed layer may be ready to slough off while other parts may be freshly renewed. The use of a physical dermal exfoliator provides a consistent, fresh layer of skin to serve as the base for a sunless tan. Exfoliation should be performed the night before or on the morning of an airbrush tanning session.

An airbrush procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. We recommend you wear loose dark colored clothing. We recommend you not shower or bathe for 10 hours after your spray tan. This will allow the tan to fully develop.

The active ingredient in sunless tanning solutions, DHA, has a drying effect. Proper moisturization offsets this effect and prolongs the skin renewal cycle -- resulting in a long lasting sunless tan.
